Gloria Miele, Ph. D

Gloria Miele

Gloria M. Miele, Ph.D., is a leadership development and executive coach, trainer, consultant and speaker who has been helping people reach their goals for over 25 years.

Her mission is to inspire leaders and their teams to create strengths-based professional environments that increase the engagement, emotional intelligence and success of an organization and its people.

Gloria’s strengths include designing and delivering fun and effective workshops, retreats and trainings for various a broad range of professional development in the healthcare, government, nonprofit and higher education sectors.

An engaging and dynamic speaker, Gloria has trained and presented to thousands of professionals in the US and abroad. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and is on the Columbia University faculty (ideas shared are her own). She has published dozens of articles in academic journals, books and online and is involved in a number of national initiatives to create and deliver training programs to expand patient access to health care through the use of technology.

She has designed, developed and delivered learning programs for organizations that include the National Institutes of Health, StoryCorps, Columbia University, NYU, UCLA, Oregon Health Sciences University, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Center for Responsible Gaming and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for California State University, Channel Islands. She is widely published in academic journals, books and online (CV available on request).

Gloria is also extremely involved in the community, committed to causes that support local business, education, the arts and the empowerment of women and girls. She is Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, where she is active in the Nonprofit and CSUCI Committees. She has worked with business owners through organizations like Women’s Economic Ventures, a nationally recognized self-employment training program and Victory Circles, a comprehensive business development program for entrepreneurs. She received her coaching certification and taught at the College of Executive Coaching, the leader in coach training for professionals with graduate degrees.

She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Nonprofit Leadership Council of Ventura County and a on the faculty of CLU’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership. She was a founding Board Member (2007-2009) of the Camarillo Academy of Progressive Education (CAPE) Charter School in Camarillo. She is an Ambassador for Girl Scout’s Juliette Gordon Low Society, a member of the National Association of Women’s Business Owners, and President-elect of the American Association of University Women-Camarillo Branch. She was named Camarillo’s 2013 Woman of the Year.
